  • Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars are typically the last set of molars to erupt in the mouth typically between the ages of 17-21. Many people do not have enough space in the jaws for wisdom teeth to erupt properly which can cause problems with crowding, pain, hygiene and infection. Wisdom tooth removal is a surgical procedure to extract one or more of the third molars.

  • Tooth removal, also known as dental extraction, is the complete removal of a tooth and its root structure for various reasons like severe decay, infection, periodontal disease, dental trauma, or to alleviate dental crowding. Teeth can be replaced with dental implants if tooth removal results in cosmetics or functional problems. Your surgeon can talk to you more about the best way to replace missing teeth.

  • Dental implants are typically the most durable and natural-looking solution for replacing missing teeth, improving both function and aesthetics compared to traditional bridges or dentures. Implants are very versatile and can replace just a single tooth, multiple missing teeth, or even an entire missing arch using multiple implants strategically placed to support a non-removable bridge (All-on-X). This allows for a complete set of teeth to be securely anchored with just four implants, offering a stable and efficient alternative to traditional dentures. Ask your surgeon how dental implants can help restore your chewing ability and smile.

  • A bone graft is used when there is inadequate bone to support a dental implant. They are used to ensure adequate support and stability for the implants. There are many kinds of bone grafts such as horizontal bone grafts (where there is inadequate width of bone), sinus lifts (a procedure which involves elevating the sinus membrane and placing a bone graft to increase bone height in the upper jaw), and ridge preservations (which are bone grafts placed at the time of extraction to maintain bone levels for future implants). Bone grafts can be placed up to six months prior to implant placement or at the same time as implant placement. Each case is unique and your surgeon can discuss which kind and what sequence of bone grafts you will need.

  • Orthognathic surgery or “jaw surgery” is performed by our expert oral surgeons, corrects misaligned jaws to improve function, facial appearance, and overall oral health. Our surgeons utilize the most advanced surgical techniques with preoperative virtual/digital treatment planning tailored to each patient's unique needs, ensuring optimal and predictable outcomes and enhanced quality of life.

  • Oral surgery reconstruction procedures involve the restoration of facial structures affected by trauma, congenital defects, or disease, utilizing techniques such as bone grafting, soft tissue reconstruction, and implant placement. For cancer patients, these procedures often include tumor resection followed by reconstructive surgeries like free flap transfer or mandibular reconstruction to restore function and aesthetics.
